In a cluttered interior, between a cluttered table, an old piano and scattered books, a solitary lighthouse keeper converses with the shadow of Beethoven. Fascinated by his music, he dissects interpretations, gets carried away, questions himself. Between boat passages, he plays the piano, speaks little but loudly, in a singular slang. Through his isolation, an echo is woven with Ludwig, their shared passion for an unknown woman, their relationship to silence and listening. When hearing fails, an inner world opens up: a sensitive reflection on deafness, listening to oneself and listening to others.
