In Peter and the Wolf, Sergei Prokofiev speaks directly to children, introducing them to the instruments of the orchestra. An educational work that highlights the intelligence of the younger generation. A few violin notes are enough to take us back to childhood. When you hear Sergei Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf - and especially Peter's main theme - it's hard not to imagine the disobedient child frolicking in the forest. In 1936, Prokofiev performed a musical and educational masterpiece.
The Orchestre Philharmonique of Nice offers a new interpretation of this famous tale. Conductor Alexandra Cravero will lead the orchestra and weave the musical fabric of the story. Each character in Peter and the Wolf is represented by a group of instruments (strings, brass or woodwinds) and a theme of their own: Peter, the bird, the cat, the grandfather, the duck, the hunters and the wolf, for a magnificent introduction to classical music.
